Legacy Competition League (LCL)
Our Legacy Competition League (LCL) occurs in both the Fall and Spring of each year.
Our Fall Session typically starts mid August with a kick off evaluation night. It is available for 3rd - 8th grade players and is a great way for players to get ready for both their school season & for their club season.
Training will include, serving, passing, setting & hitting. There will also be in house competition play included each night along with skill training. Our second option includes all of the training and in house competition, however you will also compete in 2 outside tournaments.
Our Spring session is shorter and starts the beginning of April. LCL has been very popular with players for both the Fall & Spring Session, we suggest you sign up early as spots fill quickly.
Option 1 - 2023
LCL volleyball skills training, combined with in house competition, can be a great way to improve individual skills and foster team cohesion.
- Skills Development: Focus on specific volleyball skills during each training session. This could include techniques like serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and defense. Break down these skills into drills that allow players to practice and improve their abilities. Provide individual feedback and corrections as needed.
- Once players have grasped the fundamental skills, skill challenges will be incorporated to motivate players and foster personal growth. Incorporate targets for specific skills, such as serving accuracy or hitting targets, and encourage players to strive for improvement.
- In House Competition: Players are divided into groups and competitive scenarios are created to encourage players to apply their skills in a realistic setting. This will help improve their decision-making, teamwork, and overall game sense. These can take the form of small-sided games, mini-tournaments, or modified game scenarios.
