Details

Club Cubs Volleyball is a fantastic program designed and led by Lead Coach Kim Bymers, specifically for Kindergarten through 4th graders to learn and improve their volleyball skills. The program follows a structured schedule, consisting of four weeks of training followed by one week off, throughout the year.

During the four-week training sessions, the primary focus is on developing fundamental skills such as serving, passing, and attacking. Each week will have specific drills and activities tailored to the age and skill level of the participants. The coaches will provide age-appropriate instructions and guidance to ensure that all participants receive the necessary attention and support to enhance their abilities.

Throughout the program, there will be a balance between skill development, teamwork, and fun. Coaches will create a positive and encouraging environment where participants can learn and grow at their own pace. By incorporating engaging drills, mini-games, and team activities, the Club Cubs Volleyball program aims to foster a love for the sport while building essential skills.

Players just need to wear tennis shoes, shorts/spandex, t-shirt and kneepads, if they want. We suggest brining a water bottle, please leave your volleyballs at home.

Check in time will start 15 minutes prior to the session starting each week.

Remember to check our website and social media for upcoming sessions!

Serving

Serving is an essential skill in volleyball, and participants will learn proper technique and strategies to improve their serving accuracy, power, and consistency. Coaches will teach proper serving form, footwork, and different serving styles suitable for each age group.

Passing

Passing is a fundamental skill for effectively receiving the ball. Participants will be taught the correct hand positioning, body posture, and footwork to execute accurate passes. Coaches will focus on developing passing skills through drills, repetition, and game-like scenarios.

ATTACKING

Attacking is an advanced skill that requires coordination, timing, and technique. While the complexity of attacking may vary based on age and skill level, Club Cubs Volleyball will introduce the basics of attacking to participants, focusing on proper approach, arm swing, and contact with the ball.
