Bio
My name is Lindsay Murdock, this will be my seventh year of coaching club volleyball at Club Legacy. I have also coached youth volleyball through the YMCA for 11 years. I love the game of volleyball and really enjoy teaching the fundamentals to the young athletes. I believe even at the highest level of play you always still need the basics of volleyball to be a good player. So that is why I like to focus on the basics and make sure the players are off to a good start when they are first learning the game. It is so rewarding when coaching young players and when they are successful on getting their first pass, set, hit as a team. When that happens, you can really see that they are grasping the concept of fundamentals and can see the potential for bigger and better things in the sport.
I have played volleyball myself since I was in grade school and through high school competitively. I also enjoyed volleyball through college and my young adult life playing in a variety of sand and recreational leagues. Funny thing, I met my husband on a sand volleyball court in college. We have played volleyball together for years and now enjoy watching our daughters play the game. I have 2 daughters that enjoy playing volleyball, one is in high school and the other in elementary. It has been a joy to see the growth in my oldest daughter throughout the years and her love of the game. I am hoping my youngest will follow in her footsteps.
When I am not working or coaching volleyball. I love to spend time with my husband, 3 kids and our dog. Most of our time is spent cheering them on in all their numerous activities. When I do have a break in the action, I enjoy golfing, bike riding, hiking and reading. I love to be in the outdoors so whatever I can do to be outside I will do it.
I am looking forward to another fun and rewarding season with the young athletes at Club Legacy.
