Position:

15 Charlie Assistant Coach

Bio

My love of volleyball began when I was in high school. I first started playing beach volleyball at the age of 16. Not long after, I began playing court. I played as often as I could, and any variation that I could. I still play in multiple leagues and many tournaments throughout the year, both court and sand.

My coaching career began a few years back at Sunset West. I was an assistant with my wife, Jamie, being the head coach. This is when my love of coaching the game began to blossom. I took a few years off, while my wife had our kids, Abram and Lennon. I then ventured back into coaching. I started at Premier four years ago with their 14 Red(3) team. I had the 14s for two years, then the 15s for a year, and last year I had the 16s. I also started coaching at Mercy High School four years ago as the Freshman coach. The following year, I was moved to Varsity assistant, where I stayed for two years. This past fall, I became the Varsity head coach.

I really enjoy coaching volleyball for many reasons. One of the main reasons, is to grow the game of volleyball. I want these girls to have fun playing a game that they love. I want them to continue playing for many years, because of how much they love the game. Another reason is the feeling you get when you see it “click”. When a player finally puts what they have been practicing in motion. There is no greater feeling than that.

I look forward to beginning a new stage in my volleyball career at Legacy.
